For those that can't make the March 5th class, is there a weekend or 2 back to back week nights that you know you would be able to make it? If you can give me a couple of options, I might be able to do a second class.

To register for the NRA Range Safety Officer course go to NRAInstructors.org Click on "Find an NRA Training Course near you". Scroll down the page to "SAFETY". Check the "NRA Basic Range Safety Officer Course", scroll down a bit more and put "82001" in the zip code box. Leave the "mile radius" set at 25 and click "search." Look for the March 5th NRA RSO course and select "Click for details." Scroll down and fill in the form then select "Register" to register for the class. The class is Sunday, March 5th, 8:00am-6:00pm in the classroom at Otto Road Shooting Range. The cost is $45.00. After you register I will get an email from NRA. Once I get that email I will email you with complete details and arrange for your payment. I will take cash or check. If you prefer to use a credit card I can take payment using PayPal. If you have any questions you can contact me here or email me at GunLogik@gmail.com or you can text or call me at 307-630-1563.

Thank you to those that have signed up. By now most of you should have gotten an email from me with information about the class and how to pay. Manofsteel, I'll get yours sent soon.
For the rest of you that said you wanted this, what are you waiting for?

I have a question. Is this certification good for life or do you have to renew it?

This is what Wendy sent me:
Hello Mitch,
Thank you for registering. The RSO class is not for life. After taking the class you will have to go to the NRA site (I'll give the link and more info in the class) and pay a certification fee. It varies depending on if you are an NRA member or not and if you have any other certifications from them such as instructor certifications. The certification is for 2 years and then you have to pay a renewal fee but not retake the class. Here is what it says on the NRA website:
"Credentialing Fees:
All first-time instructors, Coaches, and Range Saftey Officers pay a flat credentialing fee of $50 for a 2 year term. Additional ratings can be added at a rate of $20 per rating and renewals are $50 for a 2 year term regardless of how many ratings are being renewed.
** NRA Members credentialing fees are $30 for a 2 year term and additional ratings can be added at $10 per rating.
Trainers who have both instructor and Coach credentials expiring in different months/years will have the closest date rolled up to the fartherst date for your renewal cycle."

Ok, ManofSteel, Wcopp, rbglock, dftr, adr, spartan260, roadking and rem700wy (I know rem700wy can't make it) all said you wanted the NRA Basic RSO class. It's almost here and only 4 of you have signed up and only 3 of those have paid. You know who you are so thank you. The rest of you, what's up? Have you had trouble signing up? I am working on an easier way but for know it has to be done through www.NRAinstructors.org Please see the instructions posted further up the page on Feb. 16. If you are having trouble registering/paying feel free to email me at gunlogik@gmail.com For those that have signed up, you will be getting another email from me with final details about the class so please watch your inbox.

Thank you to everyone that attended the RSO class. It was a lot of hours but you all made it very enjoyable.
I'll put it on again as soon as I know some of you that couldn't make it let me know a schedule that works for you.
