My name is Alex Ragulsky. I live in Broomfield, Colorado. I'm a USAF veteran (4 yrs active and 10 in the reserves) security policeman. I did 36 years as a deputy sheriff and municipal policeman. I retired in 2015 after 32 yrs at my agency. I am an NRA training counselor and work as an expert witness and consultant in firearms and use of force cases. I was a rescue and recovery scuba diver and hold a General HAM license (KE0QJO) but I don't get on the air much anymore.
I shot ATA trap for about 30 years and ended AAA-27-AA. Now I am dedicated to competing as an NRA Action Pistol shooter. I hold master rating in both open center fire and open rim fire. My ultimate goal is to enhance and grow NRA Action Pistol shooting in Colorado and beyond.
I work for MEC (shotgun shell reloaders) as a factory rep but because of COVID I didn't get to do many presentations for the last couple years. I also have a few sponsors locally that help out with my action pistol goals. I recently took a part time job as a professional ax thrower. This is the most fun job I have ever had! Wage isn't great but the tips are something to brag about. Plus, I get to ham it up for the customers.
I attended my first Bianchi Cup in 2013 and have attended every year since, except 2020, when it was cancelled because of COVID. I am trying to join the chat group in an effort to contact like-minded shooters and hopefully learn some new tricks. I can be contacted at Alex.ragulsky@aol.com. I am not very skilled with computers but will try to check in as often as this stupid little box will let me. Thank you for reading this and hopefully allowing me into this group. Sincerely, Alex Ragulsky
