The advanced weather forecast for Saturday March 2 looks very favorable (60 degrees mild to moderate winds) so there will be a joint Action Pistol/Defensive Pistol practice at Otto Road Range. Time will be from 10 AM to 2PM. Fee is $5.00 which will cover gas for the generator, target repair materials and paint for the steel targets. This will be an informal practice session and scores will not be recorded. This will be a great opportunity for experienced competitors to test out new equipment work on fundamentals etc. Also, a great opportunity to introduce a family member or friend to the handgun shooting sports in a friendly, safe and collaborative environment.
Otto Road Range safety rules apply, all shooters must sign the range waiver and all shooting must be supervised by a RO.
Bay 1 will have the Action Pistol Moving Target, Bay 2-4 will be reserved for Defensive Pistol stages (Glenn will determine stages and post) and Bay 5 will be Action Pistol Falling Plates.
A chronograph will be set up on Bay 1 for shooters to test their handgun loads and determine how much lead required for practice on the Moving Target
If the weather forecast becomes unfavorable an announcement cancelling the shoot will be posted on this forum and the Otto Rd Range website no later than Friday March 1st.
See you on the range and bring a friend!

Weather update…winds were looking to be really bad Saturday but not so bad right now until about noon. The mover is hard in strong winds so we will drop that. The remainder of the stages can withstand winds below 20 as predicted, above 20 targets could come off. We will make a final call Friday morning, watch this page, and the Otto Road web site. I will also send out a google group update. Temps are still predicted to be warm and sunshine all morning, which should make the winds a bit more tolerable.

UPDATE: Weather is looking much better for a great morning shoot. Winds should not really pick up until about 1300 . Andy tells me the Mover is a GO....With sunshine and warms temps it should be comfortable to shoot. Next weekend however might be a different story. I will post for the Defensive Shoot but right now it is not looking real good. Hope to see you all come tomorrow morning. Please be on time..

It was a grand day for a shoot. Twenty Four Shooters, a great turnout. I hope all who attended had a good time. Thanks Andy, Nick and Martha for your efforts and work to pull this off. Was a great way to dust off the winter cobwebs and start to get back into the groove of shooting matches. We had several new shooters today and it seemed like they had a good time and we hope to see them again at future shoots. Thanks again to all for attending and thanks for all the help taking things down and putting away.
