Alright, so I just recently acquired a new to me CZ 75 SP-01-Shadow to run in pistol matches and 2 gun matches. I do enjoy tinkering with my guns, but for any of you guys with CZ’s, would you prefer to get some work done from the CZ Custom Shop, or from Cajun Gun Works? I know both do great work, but if anybody has experience with either, I’d love to hear your take on this. More than likely I’ll be going with an action tune up to just smooth things out, definitely a trigger job to shorten the pull, reset, etc... and install a flat face trigger as opposed to the curved one that comes stock. (Just my preference)... So, let me know what you think. Thanks!

I have a shadow target and a p01 grey, I got the trigger kit for p01 from Cajun, but for my shadow, I can't imagine needing any further work on the gun, it is great as is.

Yes, I really do like the Shadow so far, but was thinking of going with one of their flat face triggers (SAO...?), and hopefully getting rid of some of the take up and a shorter reset. With that trigger kit you got from CGW, how much of an improvement was it over the stock trigger? Was it worth it in your opinion? Thanks again!

It was 100% worth it... but the p01 out of the box was setup with "combat" weight trigger pull, I dont have a trigger gauge but before the springs I bet it was every bit of 8+ lbs son double action, and now it is closer to what the shadow is, it helped the single action some but not a ton. It is about perfect for me.
I say do the upgrade, but the only thing I would say to think about if you are wanting to use it in other matches besides Otto Road is will it change what class you want to shoot in by changing those components.
Ill try to remember to bring it to the rifle match and let you feel it.

Yeah, I’ve heard/read nothing but good things about their work and their products, so I’ll go ahead and give them a shot. Yeah man, if you remember to bring it to the match on the 28th, that’d be sweet, if not though, it’s all good. Also, I have a trigger pull gauge I could bring if you’re curious about the pull weight. It’s nothing special (wheeler trigger gauge), but it gives me a good idea of where I’m at when I’m adjusting the triggers on my guns. Anyways, thanks again and hope to see you at the match coming up.
