Proposed New York State law will require NY Pistol Permit applicants to surrender passwords and face social media scrutiny and internet search history. It's only a proposal but in the Empire State land of "King Andrew Cuomo" it could become law very easily. After Sandy Hook Cuomo and his fellow "Guns for me but not for thee" crowd pushed through the NY SAFE Act without following standard legislative processes. I was born and raised in Upstate NY and got a NY Pistol Permit in 1985 when I was stationed at Griffiss Air Force Base. Back then the process was a "bureaucratic malignancy that ate away at my sanity"! Can't even imagine what it's like now! www.syracuse.com/outdoors/index.ssf/2018/11/proposed_law_ny_pistol_permit_applicants_may_face_social_media_scrutiny.html
