Glenn--
didn't know where to put this on the forum, so this seemed as good as any. Do you allow braced guns in PCC? I realize at that point it's not a PCC, but just a plain old pistol, albeit with a brace. What's i'm talking about here is a 9mm AR9 with a 7" barrel, and an SBA3 brace that I'd like to shake down in some matches.
Thanks

Have not given it much thought but will ponder it over these next few cold months without matches.

For what it is worth, USPSA doesnt allow "pistols" in PCC. I have to assume it is so they never have to have their members be witnesses to some hypothetical situation about whether a pistol was shouldered since the decision has changed so many times.

Yep, fully acknowledge that, and neither does IDPA. Just wanted to see if that particular rig would work. There's an outlaw rifle match in metro denver that allows it, but it's a true rifle match that would not work with a 7" 9mm.

If I'm not mistaken, a few guys have ran with braces this year.

Current description for PCC should cover your question. Pistol Caliber Carbine: a firearm capable of being fired from the shoulder, manufactured as a carbine in a pistol caliber, handgun conversions are acceptable if fired from the shoulder and are designed to function as a carbine.
