Warren Moore engineer/owner of ProtoCall Design LLC has introduced new trigger parts that can radically change the Double Action of the new design S&W revolvers (The ones that have the lock and the frame mounted firing pin) The new parts are the "RevUp Action" drop in hammer kit. Everyone likes to have a smooth and light trigger --especially in a DA revolver-- the problem has always been reliability if the strain screw is loosened up too much the hammer doesn't strike the primer of cartridge with enough oomph to make it go bang reliably. The feature of the new trigger is the DA gets lighter as you pull through the stroke until it's at a single action trigger weight before it lets off and the hammer falls forward. The single action let off weight is determined by the weight of the revolvers rebound spring and it can be as light as 2.5 pounds up to 5 pounds. Warren says eventually he will make parts for the older generation S&W revolvers with the firing pin mounted on the hammer. But right now available for only newer generations with frame mounted firing pins. www.revupaction.comWarren also makes custom parts and accessories of interest to the competitive shooter at his other website www.protocalldesign.com
