The "Silver Bullet" NRA Action Pistol Indoor Tournament is scheduled for February 25 and 26, 2023 at the Rawlins Family Recreation Center Indoor Shooting Range in Rawlins, WY. This tournament is NRA sanctioned "Registered" match. NRA rules apply. Open to NRA members and non-members.
This mid-winter indoor Action Pistol match is in its 33rd year and offers lots of fun and fellowship. Lunch is served each day and there is a dinner on Saturday night with door prizes and usually at least one firearm prize.
The match is four events over Saturday and Sunday. Saturday events are "Combat" (A variation of the classic Police Pistol Combat course) 60 shots, "The Practical" (48 shots) and "Los Alamitos" (42 shots) . Sunday morning its "The Falling Plates" (48 shots), lunch and awards and activities usually conclude about 12 noon-1pm on Sunday. Total of 198 shots maximum possible score 1980- 138X (No X-Count on Combat Course)
The Indoor range is 25 yards, climate controlled, well lit and ventilated. Turning targets are used for all events except the Falling Plates. "Combat" Event uses the NRA B-18 target and the B-24 reduced target is used at 50 feet to simulate the 50 yard stage. Practical and Los Alamitos events use the NRA AP-1 target and the AP-2 reduced target is used at 50 feet to simulate the Practical event 50 yard stage. Falling Plates are eight inch steel plates which fall over when hit.
Match fees: $70 Second Gun $30 Registration will open after January 1st. I'll post additional information when it becomes available.

FYI: For those registered for upcoming Rawlins Action Pistol there will be a practice match at the Rawlins facility this coming Saturday Feb 11 starting at 0900. Weather looks favorable to traverse the "Sno-Chi-Minh" trail on I-80.

The indoor match in Rawlins this weekend has been postponed due to weather and road closures. It’s rescheduled for next weekend March 4 and 5.
