IMO the old corn-cob media vibration cleaner is still the way to go. However, I do wear a mask when I tumble the brass after cleaning so I mitigate breathing in lead dust and other harmful particulate matter left over from the cleaning process.

I myself am about to go the stainless steel media route. Im getting tired of all the dust all over everything. Ive tried dryer sheets, different polishes, both types of media and even a different tumbler and still the dust gets out of control.

A LOOOOOOOONG time ago I started with a rotary tumbler & after about 15 years switched to vibratory tumblers. I'm ready to switch again, this time it'll be a wet tumbler. As mentioned earlier, I'm tired of the dust & wearing a mask to empty the machines. Besides, it makes the brass purdy!
