After discussing with ADR what bullet I should be using for NRA Action Pistol, I picked up some 9mm 115gr Hornady XTPs to try out. So I worked up a load using Power Pistol and settled on 6.4 gr at an OAL of 1.120 with Starline Brass and CCI primers. I did all my testing at 50 yards prone with a Glock 34 and KKM barrel.
Attachment DeletedI am thrilled beyond all belief with this grouping. However, the Hornady XTPs are very expensive: $18 for 100 bullets. So I've put in an order for Hornday HAPs in 115gr and 124gr to see if these can match the performance of the XTPs. I've also have some 150gr coated bullets that I'm going to try. Hopefully I can find something just a little cheaper to match the accuracy of the XTPs or otherwise this is going to be one expensive shooting year. lol
