For those who've already been competing with a 455,have you done anything to tune the trigger? Brownells has the Timney trigger for around $100 and I've read about a company called "Yodave" that sells a replacement spring kit for $12-15. Any ideas?

I have not messed with mine at all, mine is also a left hand model 452 and Im not sure if the triggers are different from the right handers. IMO I think the triggers are fine, I also like mine around 2-4lbs for barricade work so the stock setup works for me.

I just ordered the kit (Dave said it will go in the mail tomorrow), it comes from Canada & expected delivery time is 1-2 weeks.

My Yodave trigger kit arrived today, one week after I placed the order. It comes with 4 springs (different pull weighs) and 4 or 5 bushings to adjust the sear engagement. After reading the instructions & watching a couple YouTube videos, I checked the factory trigger pull weight with a Lyman electronic trigger pull gage & it averaged 2 1/2 pounds. I installed the second thickest bushing for less sear engagement and the second lightest spring. The trigger pull was running right at 15-16 ounces (not even the LIGHTEST spring). I switched out the spring for the next heavier & the trigger pull came up to a pretty consistent 1 pound, 10 ounces with a clean break. For $27 including shipping, I think it was a hell of a deal & I'm anxious to get it to the range.

rbglock, is there enough parts left in that kit to do another trigger?

Yeah, that's a good idea. I'll be in Cheyenne tomorrow afternoon, otherwise it could be 2 weeks.

Shoot me a text at 307-534-5011. I would like to try/buy 1 of your spare setups if you don't mind. Probably one of the heavier setups in the kit would be my style. I could meet you sometime tomorrow, whatever works.
